It might be advanced that far. They will take a LOT of advance.
What timing does it show at idle?
Note that every time you take out the oil pump drive gear you run a chance
of being a tooth (or more) off, and if I remember the instructions right,
when you put it in you are not at the firing point of #1 but actually 360
crank degrees off (firing #4 on a B20). This has been the source of a LOT
of confusion for a lot of people. But if you use a timing light on either
#1 or its corresponding cylinder, your readings should be correct unless
somehow you got the crank pulley turned on shaft. (easier to do on a B30
than a B20!)
