20 grand should get you one or two sweet 940 wagons with all bells and whistles in good order, or a late 850/early v70 wagon. Early 850 had some teething problems, so I'ld go for the first generation V70 (rebadged late 850) as they seem to be less troublesome. For reliability and ease of maintenance you'ld probably be better off with the 940, and that kind of money should secure you the latest year available. For more refinement and a slightly larger risk (on par with 850), how about a late 960 wagon? After about '95 or '96 or so they seem to have worked the kinks out of that one, too.
