My first guess would be the crankshaft position sensor, because of the location of the sensor and the wiring in relation to the distributor.
The crankshaft position sensor goes down to the top of the bellhousing, essentially right below the distributor. It's got one wire going to it, maybe 1/8" diameter or so. I'm very bad with measurements like that, though.
It's possible that there's a break in the wiring and that it only shows up under certain G forces. If it was my car, I'd get under the hood and gently jiggle the wiring that goes to the position sensor to see if it is at fault. You might find that the car does the same thing when you mess with it.
The problem is you might not be able to restart it when doing that kind of thing. I'd just replace the sensor altogether and see if the problem goes away.
If you decide to go about it yourself, please post back before you do. There are a couple things you should know before you dig in.
