740/940? 1991

A local dealer has a 1991 940 Turbo, automatic, with about 70K miles, appears in good shape at first glance.

A couple questions:

* can all the good performance stuff that you can do to a 740 engine be done to a 940?

* is the auto trans likely to hold up under a mildly boosted turbo engine ( understand stock HP is around 160 ), say 220-250 HP?

I've been looking for a good 740 locally but ran across this one . . .
