Having owned 2 v-6s in the past, and the year being 2001, who wants to deal with it? It takes 5 hours to change the water pump. The alternator is virtually inaccessible due to the shape of the sump. The plugs are a 3 hour job as are the spark plug wires. Even if you can do everything yourself, why would you want to waste your time like that? If you need top-end work, forget about it. Looks like the exchange rate is what I thought, as I was thinking about $5800 for a remanuf motor. After that, good luck keeping it running because that wont include the fuel system. a fool and his money are so easily parted.
