The problem with making generalizations is that there are different spec'ed engines for different markets. I live in Canada and the 405 heads are more widespread.

I consider the 'k' cam highly undesirable, as do most others. The local Volvo dealer had experimented with changeing them out on warranty to the 'A' cam to give acceptable running charateristics.
