I'm thinking of you doing the flush at home with ATF type F, then change to synthetic ATF. Check out the 700/900 FAQ's or even Haynes/Bentley.

OR a joint that will use Type F (most only have Dexron now).

No solvent inlvolved. Does not sound like it would be good for the gears!
