Need more help for an '83 245T 200 1983

Hello again!

Done some work on my "new" car. Have more questions.

1.- How good is redline MT90 for a m46 trans.?

2.- I got a water cooled turbo (with a green tag and no perceptible axial play as you recommended) off an '84 245T.It's got a lot of gunk all over on the outside, I want to do a thorough cleaning before the install. How can I clean the cartridge? Can I use solvents or only oils? When the installation is done should I use new bolts and securing plates?

3.- Looking at the sway bars, the rear bar looks thinner than the front one (this is a SW). I have a set that came off a 242T, the rear bar of this seems to be as thick as the front one (am I wrong? I have not measure). Can I install the thicker bar on the 245T? Any adverse effects?

4.- I want to make the transition to synthetic motor oil. Should I flush the engine first? A while ago a read something in the sense that synthetics shrink old gasket and leaks develop, I don't want this to happen, so, what's the best out there, mobil 1? amsoil? redline?

Thank you very much for all the help given and to any new replies
