Re: A v8 sounds good! 700 1988

Hi Bill & Aaron

I'm putting my old 350 in my 83-760 sedan, the wifes is the 740 wagon,

The 350 is only mild,9.5:1, flat tops,2nd step RV cam, pink rods

30 over,performer rpm intake,700 Holley pro-jection system.I built

this engine for my 3/4 chev,I'm tired of driving a truck, and Volvos

are So! comfortable.I gave the truck a buddy, minus the engine.

I started this at the end of Oct,just on the week-ends.

I've had to change the engine componets for clearance,Morosso oil pan

from a vega, performer intake. I'm making the mounts in the next few

days. I understand that the diesel rad sould cool this engine, after

looking at a 302 install on the web.Only 150lbs increase in weight,

the car sits well( I had the engine in the hole siting on the cross-

member)I can use the factory rear cross-member for the tranny mount.

The car sits at work,10feet from my tool box, while I was waiting for

my oil pan,I wired almost everything, installed a battery box in the

boot, ran 1/o gauge to the engine room, made the harness for the engine

that part was easy.Install a IPD dash cover. Cleaned up the leather.

mounted 150 watt driving lights in the air dam(there from my truck).

MY oil pan is here, so theres work to be done.
