My 94 had the usual cooler within the radiator. I bought an external that mounts to the front of the air cond. condenser. I wouldn't consider a trans cooler unless you are towing or in city stop and go traffic like I am. I also thought that the change to synthetic fluid made it shift smoother, just thought it was wishful thinking on my part.
