Agreed. I think '92 was the first year I'd seen the Schrader valve on any Volvo fuel rail, and as great as that sounds remember its access is blocked. The valve faces straight down. I'm sure it was a safety issue that made its implementation a reluctant decision.

So if you get all excited about a gauge that fits a Schrader valve, make sure you get one that has an ell that fits under it.

Like you, I use my butchered fuel rail gauge adapter.
