I see that RockAuto sells the PERFORMANCE TOOL W80595 tester kit for a bargain $21. It comes with the Ford Schrader valve adapter that I'm 98% sure is the same Schrader valve size used by Volvo in our Bosch injection systems. It was the old Bosch K-Jet and LH 2.2 fuel rails without Schrader valves where you needed a special adapter. If you want a professional grade tester for frequent use then you'll need to spend a whole lot more. In a pinch you can often use a tire gauge as long as it's designed to work with longer necked Schrader valves, just be prepared to catch a little gas with a shop rag and shake it dry when done. For your purposes chasing a no-start that should suffice. If all I want to do is check that the fuel pumps are adequately working and that there's residual pressure to know the FPR isn't leaking then I find a tire gauge is quite adequate. If I'm trying to chase performance issues or a worn pump or FPR and need to be more accurate monitoring pressure then I'd use a proper gauge that can be connected.
