Penetrant, just a touch of heat (rubber hoses after all), more leverage (including someone else holding one of the wrenches) -- the usual suspects.
If you open the system to atmosphere - the drier should be replaced. And you shouldn't remove the caps from the new drier until you're ready to hook everything up, pull a vacuum and recharge.
"I replaced the orifice tube thing..." -- did that require opening the system and allowing the refrigerant to escape? If so, you pulled a vacuum before you tried to charge?
