The green cover Haynes covers up to '86. The red cover Haynes covers all up to '93 but omits a lot of information that's in the green one. If you have a later car, '86 onwards, you really need both books to provide more complete coverage of basic procedures. The green version is thicker than the red one, that should tell you something.
