I the later years they moved the AC plumbing directly in the way. On my '89 I can get up and under Exhaust header #4 right to the CPS. So you are correct, it does involve a multi jointed 10 year old. Holding his ankles and lowering him into the back of the engine compartment is not unheard of. : )
With the '92 you will want 1/4 drive tools....a long extension and swivel sockets save the day.
