Got everything installed and running. Found out my flame trap nipple was broken off at the pipe, so I replaced that as well.
Installation of the new hose was easy--my neighbor (who likes to wrench and does things like swap out engines on cars for fun) came over and installed it in two minutes.
The only difficult part was that the clamp was all the way against the engine at first, and there is not enough clearance for the ratchet to reach it coming in from the top between 3 and 4 manifold. So I reached in from the driver side under the manifold and held the hose clamp with my index finger, and he used a long screwdriver to move it away from the engine about 1/4 inch, and then used a ratchet to tighten the hose.
Thanks for all the tips!
