Tips for installing heater hose? 700

Thanks! Got the old hose (lower heater hose to the control valve) off. Now just waiting for the new one to arrive. I laid down on my stomach on a board across the engine from the passenger side and reached in with my right hand under the manifold to guide the 1/4 inch ratchet down from the top between the 3rd and 4th pipes held in my left hand.

Discovered that my flame trap was broken off from the tube, so have ordered that as well.

Thanks also for the tip about putting soap on the inside of the new hose. I was wondering if I could do that or if it would somehow mess something up.
