I had this problem with a replacement pump overwhelming float valves in S.U.s. After a couple of tries with revised float valves and needles, checked pressure, found it way too high (5 pounds or so). Then installed a pressure regulator which fixed problem but i did not like having it there. Research on this forum led to the proper lower pressure pump which seems to be the right answer.
