I am assuming you have a B18 or B20.

Do you have or can you get a fuel pressure gauge?

Some vacuum gauges also measure low pressure and you need to measure less than 10 psi.

You should not have more than 4 psi.

Any chance you bought this fuel pump off of ebay?
