I can relate to the pictures posted..Before I rebuilt the top end of the motor in my 85 240 i had the same problem give or take on the color range..All that oil runs right down into the mass air flow meter and drains out of the connection leading to and from it..I'll just betcha when the engine is hot (and running) if you pull out your Engine oil dipstick it will blow some cute Lil smoke rings up out of the dip stick tube..That was my sign that i had way to much blowby..The down side to this is it seems to carbon up the inside of the motor badly and the pistons will be clogged and packed with carbon..Even after an oil change the oil would get dirty real fast..After the rebuild 99% of that mess stopped...And no more cute Lil smoke rings..:)..I had to rebiuld the motor because of a head gasket failure..Even with all the blowby it still ran pretty good and didn't use much oil..All that blowby is the beginning of the end..I drove mine like that for years..It just got a little worse every year..Anyway,my 2 cents..
