In my 740, I used the aerosol spray electrical contact cleaner down the sides of the switch to get saturation and actuated the rocker quite a bit. That fixed all of my power window switches - the dead and intermittent.

I used the tuner cleaner, some of the others on this page may be even better. If you can take the switch out of the door panel, even better. This should clean the contacts without any disassembly of the switch itself.
