Ashcroft gauges - nice! We used a lot of those in the oilfield and gas plants in my working days. Getting my face up close to read a 5000psi gauge nearly pegged always made me a little nervous.
Note my comment in my other post: "Bringing RPM's up even the slightest over idle speed gives a quick jump in pressure." Your tach seems to show 1000RPM idle speed. On my cars that would probably give about 10psi increase over the normal 700-750 RPM idle speed.
Do you recall what SAE viscosity grade of oil was used to get the pressures in your photos?
