Basic question 200 1988

Hi Dick. The MAF would translate to Mass Air Flow [sensor]. Not sure of MAP. Mass Airflow Piece? At any rate, if you are referring to the device in the injection system that measure the amount of air passing into the throttle body to determine fuel requirements, you'll find that more often referred to on this board as the AMM [Air Mass Meter]. If you look on page 241-5 of the Bentley you'll find a diagram of the LH2.0. The AMM is near the lower center of the picture and is the same for all LH injection from 83-93. Better yet, here's a verbal roadmap: Start at the air filter box, the big, black box just to the driver's side of your radiator. Leaving the top back of the box is a plastic elbow, then the AMM, then a large, flexible, black plastic hose that goes from the AMM to the throttle body. Voila! Between the elbo and the hose you found your AMM. Remember never to disconnect it electrically with the ignition on.

Good luck!
DS
