Not only that, but even tire shops that should know better don't pay attention to load rating. The LR for the 245's OEM 185R14 is a minimum of 100, or 1764 lb. I've seen shops fit the 185/70-14 on wagons, and they typically have an LR of 87 or 88, or 1201-1235 pounds - way too little tire for the wagon as Volvo intended.

But my comment re the 195/70-14 was just for use as a spare to make sure it actually fits the storage well.
