I bought my 164 from the second lieutenant that directed the Fort Amador golf course in Panama in October 1971.
It was 2 years old at the time, VIN 1641441008731. I've still got it. Has about 296,000 miles on it.
It went from Panama to Costa Rica and back, then to the US in 1975, back to Panama in 1980,
several more round trips to Costa Rica, then back to the US in 1998.
Great old car!!
