I always see the 'most miles' posts whenever I visit an enthusiast's site. But how about most years owned? To me at least, the longer you have your vehicle the more you truly love it.

For me it's actually not a Volvo.. but a Camry coupe. 12 years / 239k, still on the road with over 300k somewhere in Atlanta. Got me all over the Southeast during my early years in the auction business.

However I've owned over 50 Volvos over the years, and truth be known, Volvo has always been the one brand to me that 'endured'. To put the kids through school (and college), to use for retirement, I'd take a well engineered pre-Ford Volvo 10 times out of 10.

Out of all those, the most compelling one as of late was a 1997 Volvo 850 R with 69,000 miles on it. Bought it earlier this year in Monza Red. She could do virtually everything my 2002 S-Class can do on the road for about a tenth the cost. Great car. Wish I still had that instead of the Benz.
