Are you sure the tach red white wire went onto one of the double male spade lugs?

I did this a couple of weeks ago, and as I recall, the red/white wire went into a single spade lug on the back fo the tach, and the other fat wire, which is for the cruise control, plugs into one piece of a double spade lug between the speedo and the fuel gauge/temp guage. The other lug in that fitting is for the shift indicator for a manual trans.
