Well, there you go. The simple pressure ground switch is a common source of leaks. If Car Quest gives you a replacement install it and carry a spare from another source. It's not a particularly hard to find item as nearly any pre-metric American car with an idiot light uses the same design/thread. I think the original switch was calibrated to shut the light at 7 lbs pressure but any replacement will work to tell you of a catastrophic failure.
