Replacement Engine 120-130 1968

Oil pump issues. Wonderful another ticking oil pump time bomb. With the difficulties that presents, I might as well swap the motor while I'm at it.

As it was back in 2006, I again (and quite luckily) have a replacement motor waiting. Mario's 1968 low mileage B18B will be a perfect swap, but it needs a little cosmetic care before I can install it. I need to hoist it up, swap in a B20 pump, install a reinforcing ring and clean the bejesus out of it before painting. Sadly, both of my spare B20 pumps are the older type and I do not think they can benefit from the IPD spring upgrade.

Once out, this will give me a chance to give the old B18B a good once-over check, install a B20 oil pump, drill out a broken off flame trap bolt and do some other general work.

Trying to see the positive side of this...
