How badly did I screw up?

Oh... sorry. I'm used to posting on Turbobricks, where the car's profile is automatically listed at the bottom of the post.

Thanks for replying. I'm working on a 1993 940 Turbo, and I just realized the situation is worse than I thought. The upper part of the timing belt cover is gone, and the new timing belt I'm installing doesn't have guide marks.

So... what do I do? Rotate the crank, measure the valve clearances of #1 piston, and figure out the correct position of the crankshaft??
