So, did you check the oil level yet? The only reason I say, is because this sparked what turned out to be a problem with my friend's M-B 190E:


-Stumble on startup

-Hitting gas had little effect,

-OK idle

-You had to floor it to get it to go anywhere.


It turned out he had overfilled the oil level (by quite a bit!)

We drained it to the right level and VROOOM, no more problems.
