Electrical problem in the Yellow Peril 140-160 1973

Well, the first time we knew what it was, the manifold brace grounding the
alternator post. But the subsequent times we couldn't find anything and
the alternator seemed to be charging about 14 volts. The wire runs direct
from the alternator to the battery and not anywhere else. Also the battery
seems strong. If it isn't raining tomorrow I will inspect it closely again.
(I haven't looked at it yet this time but Ben fixed the wire and it started
right up and didn't burn anything.)
