Apparent PNP switch failure > Can I drive the car while waiting for the new switch? S90-V90

Hi David,

Thanks for the advise. I know it's not normal to replace the filter, but I already flushed the tranny with ~9L of normal ATF and then ~8L of Mobil 1 ATF about 1500 mi ago and it's now dirty again. That leads me to believe there's some old gunk in the pan and the filter is dirty. So, I'll replace the filter when I replace the PNP and flush the tranny again. Hopefully that will take care of it. This makes me wonder if I'll have to do the same with the V90. I already flushed the tranny as I did with the 960 (the V90's fluid was cleaner to start), but I haven't driven the car much at all since (it's in storage). I guess I'll have to wait until spring after I drive it a bit and see... It's so d@mn annoying that Volvo claimed that these transmissions did not require servicing. I bet that led to a lot of trannys dieing prematurely!
