Check me out on this to see if I got it right (and if the re-assembled starter is now working)

Yes. runs great.

Well, the solenoid fires like lightning. The starter does not run. Is it supposed to?
Also, what gets hooked to that flat connector, the copper one marked "50"? I have no wire down at the starter location, except for one small red one which I believe connects to the larger bolt as does the red battery Positive+ cable.
I runs to relay(s) on the fire wall.
This car also has been fitted with a Crane Fireball XL700 ignition, BTW.
