Just got our first Volvo, now have question 240 200 1989

Regarding your no start, the most popular cause is a faulty fuel pump relay. This is likely located at the passenger side firewall, clipped on, under the carpet under-dash cover.

Changing it is very easy. You can buy it for a premium at the dealer, or order it from www.fcpgroton.com.

If you are keeping the car, change it regardless! You don't want headaches for only 20 bucks.

You will soon find out that these cars run forever ONLY if given the proper TLC. Use this brickboard as the main info resource. If you use a wrong mechanic it will burn a hole in your pocket with an overdose of headaches.

A small handfull of common problems exists for these cars, most are very easy to fix. Electrical relays and degrading wiring are often it.

good luck, enjoy the tank.

Greg
