I did that on the '84 245 I used to own. Very simple job.

1. Flip the seat bottom up, but leave the seat back in place. Unbolt the belt and buckle (if necessary) attachments that are under the seat.

2. Move to the vertical bar in the middle of the side cargo bay windows. Get a good look at the position of the anchor, so you can put the new one back on the same way. Unbolt it.

3. Carefully pop off the side trim panel in the cargo bay. Unbolt the reel mechanism from its anchor point.

Installation is reverse of removal. Torque the bolts down tight. If you can find a torque value in Bentley or elsewhere, use that. If you're really worried about it, find a reference that lists recommended torque based on fastener size and grade.
