I'll agree with Jerry — I have Yokohama Avid H4's on my '86 245, and absolutely love 'em. On my '91 740, I have D60A2's and I'm happy with them, but do feel they're a tad harsh and a bit noisy. Next time it's Yokos (from Tire Rack).

Personally, I'm not a Michelin fan. The times I've tried them (admittedly years ago) I found they started hydroplaning when the weatherman said, "Chance of clouds tomorrow..." But I expect newer design are better, though expensive (gotta pay for that advertising...).
