Volvo shutting off while driving 900 1992

"Is the pump relay in the gas tank in the 940's?" I do not know of any car that would have a relay int he gas tank. In the 940 it is in the tray behind the ashtray with (almost) all the other relays. It will likely be labeled "System Relay" or "Fuel Injection Relay" or similar as it is two relays in one case.

The RSR (Radio Suppression Relay) is a substantial black relay under the hood next to an identical relay (at least on the 740's) that controls the electric fan. The FAQ's will tell you where to find it and since I assume you car has no mechanical fan, you cannot depend on the location using earlier 940 models.

On Regina you with have a squarish coil with the powerstage integrated into it. There are instructions somewhere int he FAQ's about cleaning the connection between the two.
