Should I replace solid motor mounts with hydraulic ones?? 700 1986

My 1986 740 GLE station wagon has the solid motor mounts installed...I replaced them about 4 years ago. The problem is that I think they are transmitting engine vibrations to the frame and I hear a growling sound from the front end while sitting in the cockpit. If I were to replace the solid mounts with hydraulic ones, would the engine vibrations be more isolated and reduce the noise?
I need to know soon as I will not have access to a lift after this summer.
Thanks,
el raidman
