Instrument cluster short-interchangeability 200 1992

My '92 developed a sudden short in the instrument cluster that manifests itself when I turn on the headlights. The tach and speedo drop to zero but the gas and temp gauges work normally. The turn signal lights on the dash also light up. Swapped the cluster with the one from my 93 and all was well. Went to the Pick n pull and found a 90 240 and liberated the cluster. Plugging it in the 1992 resulted in a non working electric speedo but all else works. I swapped the speedo from my 92, but noticed the 92 has four silver recepticles in the speedo connections where the 90 only has 3. So, it seems like the sender on the diff needs to send to a four prong speedo. Can anyone verify that hypothesis and tell me if the 1991 would have a four prong connector on the upper part of the speedo where it connects to the cluster? I will be pick n pulling again, but with the only verified years being 92-93 the choices will be narrowed considerably, but if the 1991 is a four pronger, it increases the options at picknpull. Thanks in advance, Greg
