Strut replacement 200 1991

I've always left the metal spacer on the bottom. Unless your replacements don't allow you to put the locking nut back on the tube then it should stay. You know the one that holds the strut in the tube. If your strut replacement goes in and sits below a little or even with it then it should stay. It came that way from the factory.
