Will a 1987 740 hood fit a 1992 940?

I could be wrong, but it's my understanding:

Your 87 740 will accept a hood up through 89 740 (last year of dual headlamps).
90 740 is a unique orphan unto itself.
91-up 740 and all 940's take the same hood.

A dealer parts dept can verify if this is correct.
