On my '97 960, I've been chasing a DTC 232 code for some time now and the car has a low, rough idle condition like your '92; replaced plugs, air filter, O2 sensors, cleaned IAC, flame trap and trying to figure out the oil trap and its seals, that's next followed by the intake manifold, if necessary. I'm saving the injectors and a replacement of the IAC for last. Volvo uses a lot of vacuum devices on their cars and chasing a vacuum leak can be quite time consuming.
