Volvo going slower

I liked the 85mph speedo on my first 240, an '82. It wasn't good for much more than 85 while going downhill with a tailwind anyway. Smaller speed range made the the gauge easier to read and the faster needle gave the illusion of acceleration (if you watched only the needle and not your surroundings).

A 140 or 160mph speedo in a car limited to 112? That would piss me off.
I can get over the 112 speed limit after a moment or two. Definitely not a dealbreaker for me. Would it get me a discount on insurance?

-Will
