ETS usually fails about 50-60K miles. I wouldn't be surprised if it was replaced already in this vehicle. The replacement modules fail at the same rate as the old ones.

I've read failures within 24k miles after replacement.

If you don't believe me, search the archives on this board for ETS/ETM failures, and you'll see.

$11.5K is too much for that car. If you get one for $7-8K then it's worth it, since the low price takes into account the ETS failure rate.

By the way, the ETS repair is about $1000, and is dealer only service that requires software download.

You've been warned. Proceed at your own risk ;)
