This is based on the instructions that came with the new Volvo OEM belt. After the seat back comes off, the upholstery has to be removed to unbolt the inertia reel from the seat back, diagrams provided. For cloth, hog rings join the fabric at the bottom of the seat back and have to be removed to take the upholstery off. For leather its a zipper. The other end of the shoulder harness bolts to the C-Pillar.
