The shiftlock problem is most related to your ignition switch replacement problem. Nevertheless, if upon replacing your ignition switch, find you still have the shift lock problem, it is probably a failure of the shift lock microswitch. This is another classic 850 problem so common that new owners sometimes think shift lock is secret Volvo theft deterent. It is covered in the Bay 13 website.
