Or take the lazy way out. Disconnect the battery for ten minutes (remember to write down your radio station presets and security code). Once you reconnect the battery the light should reset. If it comes back on then continue your forensics as suggested in the other posts, otherwise it was a one-time blip. Mine came on last fall. I reset it and didn't see again all winter.
