Thanks for the pointers. Turns out *this* car is a NA 5-speed -- not a turbo. Dealer was mistaken on the phone call. Bummer :-(

On the plus side: it drives nicely, the transmission shifts well, body is straight with no dents or dings, dark blue metallic paint looks good although it does have a few minor scratches.

On the minus side: no sunroof, no turbo, absolutely no flexibility on the price of $6350.

My wife and I talked it over: we both feel lukewarm about the car. I'll call the dealer's other partner tomorrow and see whether he will dicker over price.

...And we'll probably keep looking since my 240 transmission ain't dead yet. I'd still like a 5-speed turbo at a reasonable cost. That dealer did have one, but he wanted $12.6k. More than I can afford. Oh well.
