Check Engine Light ON ... why?????

Chances are you can drive for a while this way. The CE light comes on when there's a fault anywhere in the emissions control system (O2 sensor, smog pump failure, EGR, etc). This includes any fault in the fuel charging system.

The system as you can well imagine is pretty complex, and it needs a good scan by the dealer or other Volvo tech (dealer or independent).
